Bracelets & Watches

It is a .925 silver half bracelet with an Indian design, found on a Galveston, Texas beach. Perhaps being so close to Mexico with the large Hispanic population, it could be of Mexican design. I looked for the other half in the area but could not find it. This is my only jewelry find while visiting a friend there.

Just before dark and about quitting time, I decided to head to a part of the school yard I was hunting when I came upon this very valuable Bulova collectors watch in the image of an Indian, representing Florida State University. It was lying on top of the grass and I did not have to swing my detector over it. The band was broken and it was obvious how it was lost. The complete band was with the watch but one retaining pin had come out.

The second week of April, 1998 was wet and I wound up hunting only for a few minutes in a school yard--in mud puddles. It is a good thing my CZ6a is weather proof because before I was done, the monsoons came down and drenched me. Luckily the rain did not come until after I had dug up this fantastic 4-1/2 ounce, .925 silver bracelet.

This bracelet was found at Taino Beach, Port Lucaya, Grand Bahamas Island. The clasp says Gregano .925 and is quite heafty. I found it only a few inches down in the beach sand a few yards from a beach bar backing the ocean.
